Six months after the start of the construction of the Riga central station for Rail Baltica. This is what has been advanced.

The "BERERIX" consortium in charge of the construction has completed the first 6 months of activity at the Riga Central Station crossing, according to the consortium representatives.

The stage has been marked by two intensive processes that take place simultaneously:

  1. Infrastructure construction work in the southern part of the project and
  2. Design work for the entire Central Axis of Riga.

Approximately 80% of the new underground infrastructure for railways and public services have been built during this stage, as well as most (70-90%) of the urban infrastructure of the project: electrical networks, telecommunications networks, heating networks, sewage and drinking water. As a result, construction work related to the replacement of the rails and preparations for the intensive construction works of the ground station building have started.

The design department engages 250 Latvian and foreign designers and engineers to analyze, adapt and incorporate the requirements of all Riga stakeholders and stakeholders and the solutions offered in a sustainable, modern and efficient mobility center. More than 10,000 drawing documents have been prepared and submitted for approval in the project.

Rail Baltica Riga Central Node is divided into 8 construction projects of different intensity and location. More than 50 directly responsible parties are involved in its development, as well as around 100 organizations and experts: Riga municipal institutions and experts, infrastructure managers, non-governmental organizations representing the interests of the urban environment, residents and the disabled, residents and associations. neighbors and the transportation industry.

Deltana Engineering has been present collaborating with the consortium in this project from the design phase and in this first stage of the construction phase, supporting the technical office of the work in the updating, complementation and scaling of BIM models.
