Norway
The Sandbukta-Moss-Såstad (SMS 2A) project in Norway is part of Bane NOR’s Intercity Project. The main scope involves a new 10 km double track railroad through the city of Moss. The central features include two tunnels consisting of the 2,3 km Moss tunnel and the 2,1 km Carlberg tunnel and a new train station with an 800 m long platform. The project will reduce travel time for regional trains between Moss and Oslo from approximately 44 minutes to 30 minutes as well as increase departure/arrival frequency.
