La Comisión Europea anunció un ambicioso plan de inversión donde se priorizan los proyectos ferroviarios. Un total de 140 proyectos recibirán aproximadamente 2.000 millones de euros con la intención de mejorar el sistema de transporte de Europa
De esos proyectos, 55 se refieren a proyectos de infraestructura ferroviaria en la red principal de la RTE-T, los cuales representan 1.6 mil millones de euros.
La Agencia Ejecutiva de Innovación y Redes espera firmar los acuerdos de subvención con los beneficiarios del proyecto a más tardar en enero de 2021.
El tipo de proyectos en los que se invierte abarca desde transporte por vías navegables interiores hasta conexiones multimodales, combustibles alternativos e infraestructura ferroviaria masiva.

El proyecto para desarrollar el corredor ferroviario de Rail Baltica recibió la mayor asignación financiera. Hay una asignación de 184 millones de euros para trabajos de implementación hasta 2024 en los tramos de los Estados bálticos y 422 millones de euros para los tramos de Polonia. Incluidos los contratos de acuerdos de subvención previamente firmados, los tres estados bálticos ahora se han asegurado alrededor de € 1 · 2 mil millones de la UE y fondos nacionales para el este proyecto.
En Deltana Ingeniería estamos atentos a estos proyectos para colaborar en las tareas de la oficina técnica de diseño y ejecución. Ya nos encontramos involucrados en labores de apoyo en algunos de ellos mediante la elaboración y actualización de modelos BIM, en algunos casos, elaboración de planos de despiece de acero, planos ejecutivos o mediciones de obra en otros.
