Adaptive Families In Revit (I)

In Revit there are several ways to make infrastructure linear elements, such as tunnels, bridges, trenches and dummy tunnels, underpasses and overpasses. But at the moment in which we must make an element with variable slope in Z and in another axis we must use the components called adaptive families, either modeled from 0, through Dynamo or through a plugin. The peculiarity of these families is that they are a free modeling system different from that of a normal family, in this case the lines (formed by points) create surfaces that in turn create geometries, reference points are added that can make elements depend of others and adapt to a tour. At Deltana we work with these families to create complex geometries in Revit and be able to make digital twins of infrastructure in linear projects.
