Spanish ACS, Acciona And Ferrovial Compete For €2.15 Bn Australian Inland Rail Project

The three Spanish companies compete for the country's largest railway project in 100 years. The entire project has a total value of about 6,100 million euros. The project includes a high-productivity freight corridor between the cities of Melbourne and Brisbane.

The three participating consortia are composed of the following:

  1. Capstone Consortium: Spain's ACS (CPB Contractors, UGL and Pacific Partnerships), Ghella from Italy and the Dutch infrastructure fund DIF.
  2. G2Konnect Consortium; Acciona, Ferrovial and its concessionaire Cintra, and the Australian fund Macquarie.
  3. Regionerate Rail: Clough, GS Engineering and Construction, the Italian Webuild (Salini Impregilo), Lend Lease Services and Plenary.

At Deltana Engineering we have extensive experience in railway projects so we will be attentive to this project to collaborate with the project's technical office, from the preparation of the tender phase, to the design and execution phases, through the preparation of BOQ, production of BIM models, shop drawings, and BBS (Bar Bending Schedule).
