Proposals will be evaluated by Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx and the top ranked team from each project will work in collaboration with Metrolinx during a development phase, which is expected to begin in 2024. Upon completion of the development phase, Metrolinx will have the option to enter into a contract with the selected team.
The Ontario line project is being executed through several public-private partnership (P3), progressive design-build and traditional contracting contracts, which are being phased accordingly for proper execution. This segment of the project is being executed through four work packages: two large construction contracts as noted above and two smaller initial construction contracts.
Deltana Engineering is already familiar with this large project since, in previous tenders corresponding to other Ontario Line segments, we have provided support to participating consortia in the Bill of Quantities, necessary for the determination of the cost of the project. We hope that in this new opportunity we can collaborate again and support any of the bidding teams, with the same reliability and effectiveness of previous occasions.
